🐎 Enhance Horsepower with K&N Cold Air Intake Kit: Designed for 2011-2019 Dodge/Chrysler 5.7L V8 (Challenger, Charger, 300), Model 63-1114 Review

I installed one of these on an older 300 SRT 8 and I really liked the sound and the increase in performance. I just installed this on my 2014 300 C and it was quick, easy and sounded great. Cold air really adds horsepower and the engine sounds a lot more aggressive. I always keep the old settings and make them available when selling or swapping a car. The new owner may want to go back to stock.

This is a poorly designed, ill fitting kit. (My car is a 2019 Dodge Charger R/T 5.7L). It is designed for too many vehicles and therefore not suitable for professional use as expected. I returned it and bought a Mopar kit which fits my car perfectly and is exactly what I wanted. If money is an issue or you don't know much about what it looks like, K&N might be for you, but I was VERY disappointed.

Excellent performance upgrade for 2015 RT Charger. Noticeably different throttle response and more aggressive engine sound when accelerating. This fits a 2015 charger as evidenced by the k&n website and the instructions that came with the mount. I thought the engine would sound a little more aggressive at idle, but not by much. I'm talking about the minimal change for the engine in the indle. Looks like I need to remove the resonators.

I bought this for my 2014 Dodge Charger RT and it took about an hour and 45 minutes to install as we didn't know what to expect. After installation my check engine light came on so I disconnected the battery, restarted the system and the problem was solved. Throttle response is amazing and I love hearing how it sucks in air when I turn the car on and step on the accelerator. I can feel the extra power, but I don't have the numbers to see how much it's increased. I used to do 16-17mpg in traffic

As a professional mechanic by trade, I know and expect a certain level of quality from K&N products. The reason I give this kit 3 stars is because of the problems installing the air cleaner heat shield as I had to cut something to fit properly in the wheel well and bend the lugs to fit. To the right. For the price one would have expected better. I understand this kit will fit a few models and years but it seemed very generic until I made my changes. My setup was on a 2016 Challenger R/T.

The ordering process was easy and the item arrived on time as promised. The instructions are a little vague as the images printed on the sheets make it difficult to see the detail needed to ensure you are doing everything right. I used an installation video from the internet. It was much easier to keep track of what was going on and I was able to slow down/pause the video while completing each step. I have 63-1114, can be ventilated, I take kits. Firstly, I work on cars and am very knowledgeable about auto mechanics, but this filter is a nightmare. I tried to install it on my 2015 Chrysler 300S 5.7L V8 and: 1. It is not easy to install. NOT YET INSTALLED 2. Heat shield not seated properly.
