A very good sentence. Definitely recommend it.

Very good set and great price. I couldn't fit two o-rings to the gas lens as shown in the picture, but one worked great. Definitely recommend it.

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Doesn't distribute gas properly

No gas coating, no case or gas lens issue smaller than the bowl outlet. You won't get the coverage you need if your gas lens is much smaller than a cup. If you look at good brands like Miller or Lincoln they use a 1 inch lens with a number 12 cup.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Good, but not very good

Waste of money, good for welders and supplies

Like the other guy said, absolutely poor gas coverage. I bought two kits and don't know what the reason is, but I couldn't get a clean weld regardless of cfh. Also the first, of 4 o-rings, 3 were almost cut in half and broke when I put them on. Maybe if you make a scatter screen it will work. But if that's the case it should come with one and I honestly can't believe these things are even being sold here because they don't work.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Many inexperienced TIG welders leave feedback

Works perfectly. It seems many people can't follow the instructions even if there are pictures. O-rings are not placed on the thread of the gas lens, they go behind the thread. Align the gas lens in the cup with the white ring and screw on. Of course it will move if you hit it on anything, as will ALL Pyrex cups, even those that cost $50-$75 each. Come on guys, that's common sense. If you do not know how to weld a TIG, and you need to draw a cup, buy a ceramic filament.

Pros
  • Lasting test results

Fair Price TIG Welding Equipment

Get what you pay for. They're far from the best, but for the price, they do what they promise. I bought these as a test to see if I found any benefit in clear cups. So for me the price for a test was good compared to more than double for 1 single cup. They work fine but you can't securely attach them as they suggest I can't put on a cup with two o-rings like they suggest. I could rate them higher. That's the only thing I didn't care about in a cup ring and it will move a bit. I would say they…

Doesn't work as shown in the instructions

At the time the kit had the greatest value based on what I was looking for in a glass lens set, despite the price that was. I thought about the expensive side. Upon receipt I tried using the double green o-ring as shown in the instructions but it was too tight so I was only able to use 1 o-ring. This loosens the glass lens, and if it bumps or rubs, it changes the direction of gas flow, which also allows the lens to move freely. This is why they recommend a double o-ring, but you can't put a…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Don't buy this. Serious!

It doesn't cost $10. The gas cover is terrible. . . How to ruin your tungsten and everything else is awful. I thought it was the El Chipo lens. It is not. I replaced it with high quality lenses and there was no improvement. 3/32, 1/8, 1/16 leads failed. momentum = failure. 35 amps? Fail. 120 amps? Fail! Argon CFH 10-35. . . everything has failed. So I went back to the El Cheapo lens and put on my standard #8 alumina cup. Takaaaaaaaaaaaaa my conclusion is that the pyrex cup is PIC. Trouble is…

Glass mugs are moving

I purchased this product to try clear glass (pyrex) mugs and I have no complaints. Everything in the kit works well with my existing consumables for my 2 series TIG torch. I've switched to wedge collets so I don't expect to ever use the standard collets. The instructions clearly recommend using 2 o-rings to install the glass cup, which can be tricky as there is actually only room for one between the white plastic gasket and the threads of the gas lens. You'll have to loosen the gas lens a…
