I love these papers! I read many similar articles before deciding on this one. The paper is thin, as I expected based on the reviews, but not so thin that the writing on it shows through. I bought this specifically for a thank you jar that requires little paper to write on. I do a lot of origami, especially modular stuff, and I LOVE this paper set. They're little pieces of paper, but definitely not unbearable. I was a bit concerned when I received the package as it looked a bit rough from the outside, but when I opened it it was completely intact and undamaged. This imported Japanese origami paper is 2.75 inches square and very thin (imagine it's almost thick tissue paper) to accommodate the tight, layered folds supply, which are needed for the production of cranes. Sold as a set of 1005 for traditional 1000 crane projects. While this will work, you probably won't get accurate beaks on your cranes - it tends to curl and billow there a lot when you're working with this size. Not a big disappointment.
