I live in a very dry area, El Paso, and I bought this because the OEM version was not available. When they arrived they looked the same, felt the same, but didn't act the same. I kept trying to figure out why the humidity never went above 33% and then I was finally able to order an OEM version and replace the filter and the problem was solved. I was hoping the larger pack would be more convenient but now I have 4 pack in the next pack which I will most likely never use.

I bought a new Honeywell humidifier of the same model as my other three. Then I witnessed the new humidifier using the included wick filter process three liters of water per night. While my other three humidifiers of the same model but with these aftermarket filters took three days to run three liters of water through. So far they work fine. Living in an environment where my machines ran 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for three days and then barely ran for a week and then ran heavily again, they did reasonably well. Like many other reviewers I was shocked to find the filters were not true to size. They are too tall and too narrow. When I (always ready to put a round bolt in a square hole) I shaped the filter and pressed it into the slot on my machine. It works, but I wouldn't be surprised if it affects the filter's ability to absorb moisture as intended. I noticed that I had to change the filter earlier than the filter that came with the machine.
