Now keep in mind that this coloring book is smaller than you might think (that's what the title says and I completely ignored it) BUT it packs a punch. It's amazing, small, compact, all those pages and easy to color in. I've used a lot of painting tools, including real Artezas gel pens (which are pretty cool, too, by the way). I like the compactness of this coloring book. Combined with the fact that the binding is on top and a black elastic strap attaches to the back to keep it closed, it feels like a little personal coloring book. Haven't used it yet so can't comment on how well the pages hold up to alcohol based marker (my medium of choice), but the pages are heavy and feel well made. I was really looking forward to this little book. I needed something for travel to keep me busy on long flights. Outer cover made of thick cardboard. I don't like the paper itself. It is extremely thin and has some medium permeability. Also, all of the doodles in this book are outlined in very light gray.
