Powerful enough to split anything I've hit it with.

I bought this figuring if I split 3 cords of free wood it will have paid for itself essentially and I've done that a few times over. I split red oak, ash and beech which are all relatively easy straight grain woods with the occasional crotch to split and it went through it all with relative ease. I split 24" rounds with it. I had some 30"+ rounds which I split in half and it went through those. It was easy to assemble with some minor inconveniences. One of the cotter pins was too short for the…

Pros
  • PORTABLILTY – Our lightweight horizontal full beam, steel wedge log splitter design is built with portability in mind. 10" inch sturdy tubeless polyurethane wheels and ergonomic folding handle, allows for smooth maneuvering and easy transportation from site to site.
Cons
  • May lead to over-reliance on firewood as a fuel source

Great product! on my review.

Assembly was a breeze! Functions really well haven’t split many large logs yet but 6-8” logs have not been a problem. So far I’m impressed. The unit did not come with any fluids which I understand for shipping. I’m sure I over looked where it stated this but not a problem in my location as the local auto parts store had it all.

Pros
  • Log splitter
Cons
  • Can be dangerous for inexperienced users

Happy I purchased. on my review.

This log splitter made easy work of my trees this year. Recieved it quickly and assembly was a breeze. Cut thru beech, pine, and maple like butter. While this is a great splitter I would say pay the extra money and get the model that lays flat or stands up. That way you won't have to lift bigger logs. You can just roll them into place. Overall I am happy with this purchase and the price.

Pros
  • Loved the size, power, ease of assembly and use. Using it to split multiple sized logs.
Cons
  • Operates using gas which is not environmentally friendly

length of logs the splitter accepts.

Should have looked into it further the splitter can only except a 20" log. my stove takes 28" but usually cut 24". Alse it is low to the ground so you have to bend over, not good if you have back problems.

Pros
  • Easy to assemble, easy to operate and easy to carry.Customer service have to improve!
Cons
  • Can be noisy and disruptive to the neighborhood

What an awesome log splitter !

Easy to put together, works better than advertised . Already split a cord of wood with it . Make sure you tighten all fittings to prevent leaking .

Pros
  • Power & Hand Tools
Cons
  • Not suitable for smaller logs or branches

Quick and easy assembly makes light work of splitting big logs

Light weight and easy to maneuver. Only issue I had was this unit is low to the ground so you spend more time hunched over to operate than desired

Pros
  • EFFICIENCY – the AlphaWorks engine provides a smooth linear power curve to help avoid cumbersome performance during operation. The 7.5 Second cycle time and consistent force allows the wedge to smoothly slice through your wood pile with confidence.
Cons
  • Initial cost can be prohibitive for those on a budget
