In fact, we use them for a regular bin bag, not just compost, because they're better than your regular Glad/Hefty offerings. Updated July 13, 2014 with longer pink. Quality has decreased significantly since launch

I use this product for kitchen scraps. When I first heard about it and bought it, I was thrilled. I am a consumer striving to preserve the ecology of planet earth by any means necessary. I've been using biodegradable kitchen waste bags for years and have found that I had to fold them in two or three to avoid throwing the contents on the floor when I toss them in the bin, so I had to put two or three bags in. in my dumpster at the very beginning. When I found these bags I was thrilledโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Increased strength - will not leak or fall apart before hitting the curb
Cons
  • Easily torn

In principle this is great, but in practice we have tried many brands of fully compostable bags and ended up with bags that expiredโ€ฆ

  • BPI Certified 100% Compostable & Biodegradable

  • Some Mistakes
