It's ok, you get what you pay for

I wanted to change the blade while sending the Forrest blade to be sharpened and that's all I used this blade for after use use . This blade cuts well, but not at all like Forrest's woodworker. I use it on my 14 inch radial saw. It splits the top sides when making a long cross cut when the back is in a straight cut with teeth. Sawdust is flying all over the place on this disc for some reason. The other blades I've used on this saw point them straight back to the vacuum manifold. The cross cuts…

Cuts Trex composite wood great! Smooth, clean edge, better than factory edge

I bought this to cut through some 1x6 composite wood Trex planks I was planning to install on my existing deck (replacing old wood planks). I had to rip a board lengthwise and cut a few inches off the edge of the deck. I used this in my 10 year old dewalt dw939 18v circular saw and it worked great! The edge is smooth, clean and looks better than the factory edge. At least for Trex, you need to move slowly and listen to the saw motor. I needed a straight edge for both cuts I made, so I used…

Large feathering or wobble, blades curl on cut

I have used a Concord saw blade in a table saw and after installing the saw blade noticed I saw a twist in the wood and found out why. Looking at the blade, I could see it wobble as it slowed. I used a precision impact sensor to measure blade vibration and measured 10 mils. This is far in excess of what would be desirable, which is typically less than 5 mils. The manufacturer allowed me to return and replace the blade. Before using the second new blade, I also measured its runout at 10 mil…

Pros
  • Fine kerf 2.0mm, ATB grind and 20 degree hook
Cons
  • Negative present

This is an excellent blade for the Makita XPS01Z chainsaw (and corded SP6000J) but there is a small problem. You will need to replace your existing 20mm inner flange with the 5/8" inner flange (Makita 224411-7) used on many other Makita LXT circular saws such as the Makita XSH03Z (there are too many compatible models to list list here). This part is available here at Revain and many online power tool part sellers, and for about $12 including shipping you can get an inner flange plus a…
