I bought this film to block the sun's rays from the side light of a west facing front door. I had a little trouble getting it glued properly, but only because I didn't use enough water. With the help of customer support I finally managed to do it. I can't imagine using a thinner film. I recommend. When a. A 77-year-old woman can do it, anyone can do it!

I bought this for the pool house for two reasons. 1. Provide privacy while changing and 2. Reduce some of the UV rays that bleach my curtains and other items near a south facing window. During the day it works great while providing privacy. At night when the lights are on you can see through the windows. Please see my photos, I gave a day and a night.

We have a kitchen bay window that gets very hot in the afternoon. We originally bought window film for privacy as our neighbor's patio is in sight. First we made 4 window panels and I couldn't believe how much the heat was reduced. We've already done all the windows and it's wonderful. The foil can be easily attached according to the instructions. My husband used a credit card to flatten the film and it worked great.

I was amazed at how well it worked. The midday sun floods my back front door and the heat just soaks in and my kitchen stays hot. Since putting this on the door, the heat has been reduced by more than half. I highly recommend if you have windows that can stand the summer heat - IT REALLY WORKS! And I'm not one of those who get paid by those sellers. leave good reviews - what people if you do that - take things only to improve product ratings - know you're a loser for that.

So I put the tape on 5 minutes ago. Seems to be holding up well. The reason I decided to try this product is because my aquarium is right next to the window and when the sun shines on it the water gets too hot for the fish. So we'll see how it keeps heat. One downside that comes to mind is that when you peel off the plastic backing, the film starts to curl and is almost difficult to work with. I've found that removing the back head quickly instead of slowly helps a lot. There will be an update…

I've tried and used many window films, this one is really good because it's very thick which makes it easy to apply and just seems a lot better at blocking the sun and heat, I've bought it several times and I'm very happy with it, glad it's not like the others I've bought which are like cellophane, this one is like a plastic wrap, it really comes off that easily and this is the best Part. Always use plenty of water or soapy water and straighten, trim and you're good to go.

So we put this on the sliding door yesterday. It was a fairly simple setup. You can get the glass/film too wet so it slips when you try to wipe it off. You can't see inside even if the person is near the door. You will need a sharp razor blade or other cutting tool as it will rip. Despite the low reviews of it being a scam or similar it was a pleasure setting it up between 2-3 people.
