Good connection to 4-gauge amp in 8-gauge screw connection

My amp/subwoofer's connectors are angled down, so I had to put a block underneath. The connection is very good and stable power transmission. I removed one star due to its length requiring a block and also because no insulating sleeve was made/sold. If something connects +_ just inches apart bad things will happen.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Perfect fit for my 4AWG cable and extra jack.

As can be seen in the picture, the shaft of these adapters is quite long. I had to trim mine (a cutter wheel will do if you have a Dremel) to fit my amp, but I can think of an application that would require the extra length. Fits perfectly on my 4AWG wire and the extra sleeve to cover the insulator makes the finished product very pretty. I would suggest covering the + side with some sort of insulator (a few turns of tape will do).

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Not bad

Better done than little sticky hairs causing big problems so worth buying to protect your amp or car system. Read about it in other people's comments, the only thing I wish it would have was heat shrink tubing to give it extra protection, but I don't think that detracts from the product itself. I had the cheap 4g cable in it, but i ordered a real 4g cable (ofc), i will update it once i install the new cable and post more pics. I can say good job, just added a picture of where I connected it…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Highly recommended!

I have bought several 1/0->4 gauge adapters and also these 4->8ga adapters. They all turned out to be fairly well made with no visible flaws or obvious burrs/machining flaws etc. The attachment threads were smooth and they held the wire in place well. The litz wire was taken over without a fight, which makes it much easier to insert the litz wire for power/ground! Other thoughts: Too bad they don't come with heat shrink tubing; had to buy this separately but it is absolutely critical if…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Faulty

I had to sand them down to fit my amp.

They didn't quite match the 8 gauge inputs on my amp so I had to sand them down a bit. Also, they seem overly long, even when fully inserted into the input terminals they stick out a bit, which doesn't affect functionality much, it just looks weird. I only shortened them because I still had to sand them.

Pros
  • Installing the amp
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

They deserve to be done way better than little sticky hairs that cause big problems, so it's worth buying them to protect your amp or car system.
