Worst Anchors Ever!

If I could give this product zero stars I would. The screw is so tight that it doesn't go all the way in. Instead, he first removes the anchor. Fair warning, DO NOT BUY!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • disappears

Works as it should

To support some of the reviews, if you use pliers to hold the flat end, screw the screw all the way in and then pull it out it works perfectly, also use the #3 Phillips head screwdriver for installation in a wall do not use drill drywall fragile

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some flaws

However, the value is a bit too strong

When drilling in sheet metal, the dowels are a bit tight on the screw. This means that once you've screwed the screw in and it locks into place, it doesn't always go all the way into the anchor - instead, the entire anchor and screw start to go deeper into the wall. You have to plan this and be careful. This differs from my experience with other anchors purchased at our local hardware store.

Pros
  • good
Cons
  • a bit dented

Much easier to handle than plastic models

These metal cavity wall anchors are easy to install and adhere evenly to drywall. Unlike plastic drywall anchors, they will not tear drywall paper or leave a crack along the outer edge of the anchor. Because these anchors are metal, they require less installation effort than their plastic counterparts and can be easily removed from the wall, reducing the amount of drywall damage to repair.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Functionality

A lifetime supply everyone needs

Seriously, I've bought so many small packs over the years that I should have looked around for larger packs. Look no further guys. It's the real deal (not the cheap plastic) and not much more than a much smaller package. And since it's the holidays as I write this, if you know the new homeowner, this will be one of those gifts to be given for years to come.

Pros
  • High quality anchors for pre-drilling drywall and plaster. Hole preparation is not required. Made from durable zinc that will last for years. Can be easily removed.
Cons
  • Crumpled Pack

My New Favorite Wall Anchor

These are the simplest dowels you can use. Nothing but a Phillips screwdriver to install the anchor and install the screw. You seem to be heading pretty much towards your target when you align the tip. If you ever decide to remove them, that's easy too, and they can be reused. I've used probably 20-30 of these and no problem. Sure, they're not the strongest wall anchors you can get, but I think they're a step up from the typical plastic "expansion" inserts that come with most things, and they…

Pros
  • Easy to remove and reinstall - quick and easy installation.
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Not quite like the originals

These CONFAST drywall anchors are nearly identical to the vintage drywall anchors sold at hardware stores with one caveat: the outer flange is slightly more concave, weaker, and tends to detach from the main body (screw section) when drilled or gently hand driven into the drywall. Although the anchors are similar in appearance, the main differences lie in the weight and strength of the metal used - older style anchors are heavier and have a stronger construction. Well, isn't that the case with…
