This measuring tape is perfect for industrial and scientific applications. The tape itself is made from fiberglass, so it's both strong and flexible. The Imperial and metric measurements are clearly marked and easy to read. However, the locking mechanism can be a bit tricky to use. Overall, this tape is a great addition to any toolbox.

This tape is lighter and more compact than most fiberglass reinforced 50m tapes. This makes it easier to pack to remote locations. You'll have to hold it fairly taut while rewinding it to get everything back into the case, a little more than the outer frame straps. This works well for my purposes, which while rare, are often not near a vehicle or road. I use it to host transactions for studying vegetation.
