The magnets are very weak and I wouldn't dare put this under a vehicle as it will definitely fall off. Normally neodymium magnets are used in such cases, but the ones we received, although they may be rare earth magnets, are very weak. The clasp is not tight, it opens very easily. The anger of poor quality lingers long after the thrill of a 'good deal'.

THESE MAGNETS ARE NOT FOR 50lbs of force. While it can take some bumps while the car is moving, if the car even slows down and the box gets stuck on something under the car, it won't take much effort to remove the box. Withstanding 50 pounds of force means it takes over 50 pounds of personal force to remove the box. This does NOT apply to these magnets! Very easy to remove from metal!

Money Well Spent! This greatly simplifies the hidden installation of the GPS module. The magnets are strong and the box is solid. I slipped this under my Transit with my Spytec GL300 tracker and it stuck securely under my car. I found a good spot under my van, in a square frame that's better protected than just the bottom of the frame. Use common sense when installing this in your vehicle. I would recommend this to a friend to use like me.

This is a great product if you are an adventurer like me. I can hide my car keys when I'm mountain biking or walking on the beach. Really strong with 3 excellent rare earth magnets to really stick. (However, DO NOT place them where they may be affected by rocks or other objects thrown by your tires.)
