👍 Continental OE Technology Series 4060775 6-Rib, 77.5" Multi-V Belt: Superior Performance & Durability Review

I chose the Goodyear belt when ordering. Even Goodyear listings are on my order list. What appeared was the Continental. Of course it's the same belt with different markings, the OCD in me complains that my AC belt says Goodyear but this one doesn't. FYI, this belt is used for F-Body accessories with 10% drive crank. Role.

As another reviewer noted, this belt is too short for a 2006 GTO. The power steering pulley was changed to a larger diameter for the 2006 model year. I bought it a few months ago when my engine was overhauled and unfortunately I encountered a problem with the installation yesterday so I can't return it. Again, the correct belt for a 2006 GTO is 4060785. Revain should fix this.

The stock OEM belt was a horribly worn belt on my 2006 Pontiac GTO and was making a horrible squeaking noise. After looking for a replacement I saw several people recommending these straps so I gave it a try. The fit was excellent and after several thousand miles I had no noise from the straps. I bought Gatorback 4060775 and 4040430 for my 2006 Pontiac GTO. Goodyear 4040430 Gatorback Ribbed Belts are perfect for the AC belt, but unfortunately 4060775 was too short. The OEM belt is 6PK1993 and this is 6PK1970. Almost an inch shorter. Looks like I should order Goodyear 4060785 Gatorback Rib Belt. I can't see the belt myself but Revain shows it fits a 2006 GTO which doesn't match mine. I'm on a late build (February 2006) so maybe something changed mid year.

Using Partial Match Revain I was told that the 4060790 belt is the one to use when the current super short belt broke on the street 2 blocks from my house. I thought I was done boy. I was wrong! 79"Damn long! This 77.5" was my next try, along with 75.5", the first had too much vibration and the tensioner was on the verge of loosening and the belt was slipping. The last one was just as tight As it was the originals I wanted to replace they are so tight the motor squeaks for the first 10 minutes…
