Exact Fit 2003 Silverado 5.3 Vortec 105amp Alt

As described and much more reliable than the original 2003 Silverado 5.3 Vortec 105 A alternator. No more hissing, the difference is noticeable and very satisfied. The original belt was marked 923, which puzzled me at first, but it's about the same exact size and fit. Autozone/Advanced belts are nowhere near as thick and strong as Continental belts.

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great product for belts, hoses and pulleys

The belt itself is amazing and I have not used anything other than GatorBack belts since discovering how good they are are are they were amazing. This belt will fit a 2003 Chevy Tahoe with a 5.3 liter engine and a 105 amp alternator. If your truck has a 145 amp alternator like mine, you will need a Goodyear 4060930 Gatorback serpentine belt. You will also need the smaller Goodyear 4040377 Gatorback Poly V Belt for the A/C on these trucks.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • I don't really like it everything is fine

Works great with belt

My engine was squeaking. After testing and replacing parts, it turned out it wasn't the belt tensioner or some of the pulleys were defective. I had a slight pulley misalignment somewhere. This put additional stress on the belt and made it squeak. With a ribbed design, this belt did the job perfectly. As soon as I put it on the problem went away and now I can drive without my ears bleeding. I would use this belt again, no question.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Protection

really great product.

READ the cost when a Revain tool says it will fit and you have to return it because it doesn't. This one star rating is NOT related to the quality of Continental products. The point is that Revain says it fits my 2002 1500 Suburban and then Revain deducts about 20-25% of the product cost from the refund to cover the return shipping. These straps are essentially Goodyear Gatorback straps; really great product.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are nuances

This is a high quality belt.

This is a really good belt. I have tried many different straps from local auto repair shops and none of them have held up. I put on a new drive belt while running errands, stopped a few times and ran a retractor, but always the next morning when I started my truck to drive to work, the drive belt popped out. The auto shop wanted me to buy a new idler pulley for $30 so I decided to try these because the guy at work said they were good. I put this belt on over a month ago and haven't had any…

Eliminates Belt Squeak

This belt helped eliminate the belt squeak when replacing a slightly offset power steering pump pulley on a 5.3L Chevy after replacing the pump. But only when it's cold! I corrected my pulley alignment and then increased my alto shortly after this issue forced me to use a smaller belt. So I no longer have this problem and no longer use this type of belt. If you feel you need this kind of belt? Then you have a tensioner or misaligned pulley problem, which I think is a more pressing issue than…
