🔧 49275 Continental Belt Tensioner Review

This tensioner turned out to be of lower quality than the original part. It seemed a little flimsy and made a bit of noise before I installed it, which gave it an edge and is easy enough to replace if it fails.

Used on a 2002 Chevy Silverado 5.3L, runs very QUIET. My truck has over 200,000 miles on it and this tensioner lives up to my expectations, driving, idling, warm, hot or cold, it's a very quiet quality product. I will recommend this to a friend.

It was well packaged and looks and feels like a quality part. My rating for the product itself is 5 stars. But the reason I didn't give the seller a 5 star rating is because this part was sold to me as a continental branded part. But on the back of the detail itself it says Litens. (You can see in the photos).

This part is perfect for my 2004 GMC Sierra 1500. The part is a high quality casting with a polymer pulley. I replaced my original serpentine belt and OEM tensioner with a Goodyear Gatorback serpentine belt and this Goodyear tensioning eliminated the belt squeak I heard every time it was wet outside.
