🚙 ACDelco Serpentine Belt 12576447 - Original Equipment Review

The water pump and also the idler pulley and the belt tensioner have been changed. The old belt was at least 5 years old so it's time to replace it.

It wasn't the cheapest part but it was the cheapest part available with next day delivery. It fits well and appears to be the quality OEM part it was advertised to be.

This is a small belt that goes from the air conditioning compressor to the crankshaft pulley. Comes with 2 belts but only one on the motor.

The previous belt was worn and has come off the pulley. It was heat tested and had to be replaced. The new belt is easy to install and works just like the original belt. I have air conditioning again.

Original belt lasted about 90,000 miles, bought Dayco replacement belts, they always had them but only lasted about 15,000 miles. Back to AC Delco and will probably be a long time coming.

This is a genuine GM AC belt. Fit my 2004 Chevrolet Suburban with the 5.3L Vortec engine and it fits perfectly. There are great videos on YouTube on how to replace this strap. Work from 1/2 to 1 hour. A pair of 15mm jacks can't hurt either.

Decided to replace the serpentine main drive belt (ACDelco 12637204) and A/C belt (ACDelco 12576447) on a 2002 Tahoe LT 5.3L with 143,000 miles. The main tensioner was at the end of the marks showing belt tension. I have an aftermarket K&N Performance air filter so I didn't have to remove the stock air filter to access the drive belt from above.
