Disappointing performance of Car Belt Tensioner

As a hesitant automotive buyer, I was absolutely disappointed with this product. As a result of using this tensioner, I found that it failed to provide the expected performance. The installation was easily done but, unfortunately, the tensioner started squeaking after only a few weeks of use. The only thing I liked about the product is the affordable price, but ultimately, the cons outweigh the pros. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who needs a reliable solution for their car belt.

Pros
  • Excellent quality and durability
Cons
  • Possibility of higher price compared to competitor products on the market

New part seems worn out from the start, UPDATE, .

Free, new part. Seems to be the best reviews. I will install it. See what happens. Posting this precondition as normal or not. Works at the moment, also new belt. Will report problems.

Pros
  • Spare parts
Cons
  • There are new competitors

DO NOT USE ON RSX OR K-SERIES ENGINES

The entire auto-tensioner assembly vibrates excessively when the vehicle is fully laden. Of course, the torque specs tested - either a bad bearing or the spring damper can't handle my car's power - confirmed that they will NOT work for a base 2003 Acura RSX car.

Pros
  • Belts, hoses and pulleys
Cons
  • Not all will fit
