Without a doubt the stiffest tire I've ever had to change

I bought a 700x25 and this tire was damn stubborn. I broke some pipes trying to put it on. I've been cycling for ten years now and change the tires on my bikes weekly. These tires were for my Allez friends and I'm a bit disappointed in them. They appear to be much cheaper stuff than the Grand Prix 4000 s2 (but I guess that's to be expected). Update: I never put the rear tire on. I had to take it to the store and the person said that even though it was labeled 700x25 it looked more like 700x23.

Great upgrade for budget bikes

These tires are a great upgrade for budget road bikes. I have a Schwinn Volare that I bought here at Revain. This is what I would call the bottom tier of bikes that you really expect to go anywhere. Over time I've made a few updates to make it a little better when the budget allows. Nothing made a bigger impression than these tires! They're quieter, faster, and almost certainly more durable than older old tires. The ride quality also improved significantly on inferior road surfaces. If I hadโ€ฆ

Not sure what made the inside of the tire slippery but I LOVE IT.

I have had great luck with Continental tires over the past 25 years. Overall they appear to be more durable and grippy than some of the other leading brands. Another thing I noticed about this tire that I REALLY liked was the feel that the inside of the tire was coated with some kind of slippery chemical (maybe silicone spray?) which helped prevent unwanted camera sticking during shooting prevent assembly. The effect was similar to coating the tube and inner surface of the tire with babyโ€ฆ

Not very experienced with bike tires

Not very experienced with bike tires and this was my first try at folding tires. I found it as easy as fitting a non-folding tire and makes it much easier to store spares. No noticeable difference between this tire and the Bontrager Racelite I've used before. As long as they are comfortable and durable. I've ridden it for hundreds of miles with no problems. Edit: Now that I've put more miles on these tires, I can definitely say they're more comfortable than the 23mm Gatorskins I've used before.

Very comfortable road bike tires

I have a pink and black road bike with 700 x 23 skinny tires and was looking for something wider and more comfortable. I couldn't believe my luck when I stumbled across them! Not only do they have a pink sidewall stripe to complement my bike, they also come in the 700x25 size that I was looking for. I switched to them and not only do they look great and help make your bike stand out, they now feel so durable and so much more comfortable. but let's hope that doesn't happen and I don't have toโ€ฆ

Great tire but fits more (too big) than my original tires of the same size.

I needed to replace the original Matrix tires on my 1989 Trek 400. According to the specification for this bike, the tire size should be 700x25. However, the original tires were marked 700x28 on the sidewall, so I ordered that size. Those 700x28 Continental tires (and possibly most modern tires) were physically much larger. Too big to fit under the clevis and front brake and too wide to fit between the rear stays. I ordered 700x25 tires of the same model and they fit perfectly. I am very happyโ€ฆ

Drama-free montage.

After reading other reviews of these tires I was a little worried that I would have trouble fitting them onto my rims. My fears were unfounded. No need to take them to the store, no special tools needed, just some tire changers which you should have anyway. I had to hook the first one to the rim, the second I could just put on with my thumbs. We'll see how they do when I get them out tomorrow, but they're already a lot more grippy than my stock Espoir Sport tires. I am very satisfied with myโ€ฆ

28 used to upgrade from 23

I bought these to upgrade my wife's bike from 700x23 to 700x28. I was able to do the same with my road bike with caliper brakes. Spacing always becomes an issue as sizes increase. Especially when some bike tires can be inflated beyond their size and specification. In this case, I figured my wife's frame would do the same since my hardcase nylon 28 wheels clean up nicely on a road bike. nope The truth can only be found with a micrometer. I actually found my Hardcase Nylon 28s inflated to 27mmโ€ฆ
