Fix your blinds, don't replace them!

Very easy to install and the blinds work like new again! Make sure you are ordering the correct style - look at the pictures and compare to your blind controller. We ordered the wrong kind the first time and had to send it back. The block exchange worked great!

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • I'm worried

able to fix blinds very easily

watch online video that helped order the correct part which i would say is an important step incredibly easy celebrating our 30th birthday Fixing years old wooden screen just a few minutes to install blinds which we had already taken down as a talisman saved us the hassle of someone coming out and charging us loads of money to fix it

Pros
  • expensive but decent
Cons
  • piggy bank price

That works great. My wife even remarked how easy it is.

Before ordering, go to fixmyblinds.com and follow the steps to ensure you are purchasing the correct size. This is the hardest part. The total installation time took about 2 minutes. Once the old part is removed, insert the new part and you're done. There aren't even any screws or anything like that. That works great. My wife even commented on how easily it rotates compared to the previous tilt controls.

Pros
  • Full Set
Cons
  • Old

Reverse rotation but easy replacement

Just installed today and they went in with no problems - not even 10 minutes each. I popped out the end caps and popped out the square bar a bit, then I was able to separate and flip the old controller (careful with the plastic mounts on the casters). The surprise was in the opposite direction of how all my blinds behaved (about 25). Rotate clockwise (right tight) to *open*, which rotates the blinds counter-clockwise. Works fine, just the opposite twist to everything else.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Works great except for a tight fit when installing

They're stuck in my blinds. I have to remove the end cap to push the box apart and then push it down vertically to compress and lock the tipper. The old tippers were slightly smaller and could be removed without first removing the end cap. Half a millimeter less would be ideal. Once in place, they work great. They have enough internal tension so that the blinds do not tip over and run smoothly. I bought several sets to fix all the broken dump trucks in my new house, then broke another old dumpโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Best of all
Cons
  • I'll write later

We used these to replace the stalk tilt mechanism on our high profile wooden Levelor Venetian Blinds that are over 20 years old. After watching a few videos on how to order the correct mechanism, how to remove the blinds from a window and how to replace the mechanism, it was pretty easy. The stumbling block for me wasn't the replacement of the unit but the clumsiness and heaviness of working with the double width blinds themselves. Make sure the blinds are up before removing them from theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

It's so easy to fix blinds with your own hands!

I accidentally broke the stem on my recliner and thought my blinds were damaged. After some internet research I found a replacement tilt control mechanism and discovered how easy it is to fix your own blinds! You can go to fixmyblinds.com and follow the instructions to measure your blinds and center rod to determine the size of the tilting mechanism you need. They measure the depth and height of the hull, as well as the size and type of center shaft. Mine were 2 1/4" deep and 2" high for a body

Pros
  • Brilliantly Done
Cons
  • Disappearing
