Doesn't work with Gen2 ring keyboard

The USB connector doesn't fit on the back of the Gen2 keyboard because the end of the cable is too thick. so it doesn't go in the groove.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Doesn't work for me.

Purchased for ring keyboard. My old keyboard's power supply should be converted to a USB charging port; Bower, the USB connector is too square to fit in a keyboard. So it doesn't work. I'm sure it converts energy, but don't use it for a ring keyboard.

Pros
  • Free for educational use
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Requires mods for Ring Touch Panels

I bought these to add the Ring Touch Panels to an existing alarm system. USB connectors are square in shape. Ring touch panels have a rounded connector area. I used a knife to shape the connector to fit completely into the touchpad's ring port. Proper power is provided and all touchpads show connected.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Doesn't even come close to the stated output

I tested this unit with an input voltage between 9V and 14.5V. The output voltage was unacceptably low for any USB powered device, except maybe a very slow. load. With a power consumption of 4.5 watts, the voltage drop for my USB device was enough to issue low-voltage warnings, regardless of the input voltage. It just can't deliver the advertised performance. I would look elsewhere. As for the pros, it looks well built, fully loaded and the wires are well connected.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • No automatic control

Ideal for Ring Gen2 keyboard hardware wiring

After someone posted a video online I used two of these units to adapt my old alarm wiring to power two Ring Gen2 keyboards. It's true that the converter's micro-USB connector needs to be sheared off to fit the keyboard connector, but a sharp knife will do just fine. If you want a fully hidden keyboard with a USB cable that runs through a hole in the keyboard bracket, you'll need to carefully maneuver the cable and make sure you can push the slack back into the wall. I'm very happy with the end

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
