This is great for my children's room! He uses a sound machine at night, but I think that even if you don't use this machine, it's very quiet and doesn't bother anyone. The mist it releases seems enough for his room, it definitely helps with nasal congestion. Also, the night mode is great so the light doesn't come on while he sleeps. I love this humidifier! There are 3 levels of mist and all 3 are virtually silent. You can use the "Night Light" mode, but our favorite feature is actually turning ALL the lights off, even the ones that show power and levels. If you need to view settings, just tap the sleep button and it will appear for a few seconds (allowing you to change anything) and then go back. Or turn off the sleep function so all displays stay on. We love the sleep mode so little ones aren't tempted to play with it…

Have been using this humidifier every night for almost 2 months now and it works well. I love that there are three settings depending on how much moisture you need.
