Great pen! - Painting Tools

I love Copic multiliner pens. I like that they can be refilled instead of just throwing them in the trash. The brush tip is convenient for calligraphy and drawing. Although I like regular writing advice.

Pros
  • Good Stuff
Cons
  • A Little Something

It is best to combine this marker with the right paper.

I really like the quality of the pen. It's metal, not cheap plastic. I like the ability to switch from thin lines to thick line variations. It is best to use paper specially designed for markers.

  • Easy setup

I like the pen in markers

I like the pen. I can't control the stroke - that doesn't mean the pen is bad, I could be - but overall quality, pen feel and ink quality I have to give good marks. Not my favorite brush pen, but I like Copic ink better than most.

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Long delivery time

The inks are excellent. The tip wears out.

The ink is excellent. The tip wears out after a quick pen check. You may be using super smooth paper that's softer than felt, but that advice made no sense to me. This gives a small range of lines, of course, but not thin or really average lines.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Only available in black

Pen wears out, ink is not dark enough

Although this pen started great, it didn't hold up over time. It's a felt tip pen that will inevitably wear out and lose its ability to draw fine lines (exactly what I intended to use it for), but it also began to lose color at an alarming rate. I was surprised at how easily the black ink dried and how streaky it became after a few days of use. I ended up buying a Pentel Brush Pen and have already bought 2 packs of refills so I can stock up while I need them. Ink cartridges (though smaller)…

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Good for writing on

I use this brush for writing by hand. Compared to my Tombow Fude grip, the Copic Multiliner is a bit more difficult to control in terms of width adjustment, but the strong lines are very appealing. Although it may not be ideal for handwriting. This pen is much more like a brush, so I handle it like a real brush by pulling the pen down instead of pushing it up, which I think makes for a better end product. The ink dries very quickly and is waterproof once dry. It doesn't bleed through the paper…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Best brush pen in the US

I've tried several brush pens and so far this is my favorite. In Japan, Copic is arguably the most popular of the "big brands" for drawing and writing manga comics. The ink is by far the blackest I've tried and is (mostly) waterproof. The brush tip is nothing special but works well enough. Presumably the tip is interchangeable, but I haven't tried it; If the tip starts to get rough, it's probably better to swap out the entire handle and keep the old one (try sanding it down a bit!) for some…

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive
