lite on dishes

What can I say, I think everyone knows what Corelle is. My husband and I got Corelle when we got married 42 years ago and we still use it. It can withstand almost anything except falling on a ceramic floor. At one point I bought a set of "real dishes". It didn't take long for me to realize how tall Corelle is. does not take up much space, does not kill hands when carrying, warms up well in the microwave oven, easy to clean. this is the dish of choice! I got rid of those "real cymbals" and now…

Surprising - Kitchen & Dining

I was surprised when my new Corelle cookware arrived. They are so thin and light they remind me of toy plates. Not that I think it's a big deal. With my aching back and rapidly advancing age, I see that as a positive trait. Another reviewer commented that they would shatter if dropped on a tile floor, which I'm sure is true, but the first time I dried the bowl it slipped out of my fingers and landed heavily on my tile floor. It didn't crash, but bounced off three times before coming to a stop…

Very good bowl for the price

This is a review of the Corelle Winter Frost 6-Pack Bowl. I'm a huge fan of Corelle cookware and these bowls are every bit as good as any other Corelles I've purchased. They are light, easy to care for and have a pleasant look. They're also easy to put in the dishwasher and stack well in a cupboard, especially if you're short on space and don't want a very thick bowl. They also last a very long time. We bought these bowls because we need a lot more bowls than plates. This is a very simple bowl…

Beautiful, but the curve of the top edge is not the same.

I love the bowls and am finally moving the plastic bowls to the servants' quarters. (JOKE!) I removed the plastic bowls. They have a slight [edit"nice"] shape with an inside-out rim, but when I tried to put something in a spoon, I had a hard time as the top rim of the bowl in a convex curve, and offers less and less help to scoop something up with the spoon as I pull the spoon up. Older plastic bowls had a steeper side that didn't roll down to the rim, they had a slightly concave curve that…

The best tableware for every day and every occasion

I am a die-hard Corelle user and have tried all types, even glass plates and bowls from other manufacturers. None of these are as durable as classic white. Of course, non-Corellas are the worst. But I've also found Corelle's various trendy prints, embossed, square and other new shapes, to be less durable. less resistant to chipping and breaking. Classic white in traditional shapes lasts the longest. They go with everything. Of course I will still be buying fun prints and new shapes to add to my
