Don't stay cold for very long and don't go all the way.

, doesn't stay cold very long and doesn't reach the bottom of ANY bottle. It seems pointless, it's easier to just put it in the fridge or on ice.

Pros
  • Made of BPA-free plastic, non-toxic gel, stopper
Cons

Good idea though. - Bar & Drinkware

Cork jar is a great idea but we didn't actually use it. Maybe it's just old habits, but I still prefer to keep a bottle of wine in the fridge or put it back in the fridge when I'm not drinking. I might find it more useful in another situation, but for now it's just sitting in my freezer. For me this product is not a necessity but one day it might come in handy.

Add Corkcicle inside.

The Corkcicle is the perfect addition to any wine lover. It freezes quickly and is ideal for keeping chilled white drinks at the right temperature or for bringing red room temperatures to the right temperature. All it takes is a quick rinse and it's ready for the freezer and the next bottle. I see this sticking with our other wine accessories for years to come.

Strange particles floating in it

It looks much better in photos. It's plastic and has ugly stitching on the sides. However, this was not the decisive factor. Worst of all there was some weird seaweed(?) floating inside. Rough! The box also arrived broken. I bought it as a gift but I couldn't bring myself to give it to the recipient. Nice idea, but poorly implemented.

Great gift for wine lovers!

I got it as a gift and I'm totally thrilled! I hate it when there's wine on the table and it's getting warm. Corkcicle solves this problem. All you have to do is freeze the rind and add it to red or white wine to keep it perfectly chilled. I've never seen anything like it so can't compare it to anything else but I will say it's the perfect addition to my wine cellar! My only regret is that I don't have more than one!

Pros
  • Hand wash only
Cons
  • Expensive

A clever idea to keep wine cool.

First, you need to start with wine that's already chilled to the desired temperature. If you read the product description, this is to maintain a chilled temperature, not to set it. Yes, you need to pour some wine first before you can use the cork. Remember Archimedes and the displacement property? In order to work, the cork needs to sink into the wine, so yes, it will push some of the wine out. But when you're enjoying your fine drop, the cork keeps the bottle at the desired temperature. I…

Wine cooler ideal for dining and entertaining

This appliance will not work well with a bottle of wine at room temperature. It just takes too long and doesn't chill the wine, but it doesn't. For this reason I would recommend chilling your wine first for maximum chilling life. outside of the product. It won't keep the wine as cold as you'd like for long, but it's better than nothing. I want to see the medium in the long end that comes in contact with the wine so the wine stays colder longer. I don't think the carrier is water in the tube but
