I got one of these for a friend for Christmas and tried it out for a while after giving it to her. Very good as a simple hook. I particularly like the large handle. I'm not sure about the light. The hook is made of transparent plastic with a light at the end of the handle that illuminates the entire part of the hook. It's getting very bright, too bright for me. My eyes are sensitive to light and I get blinded by bright lights in the dark, so it might just be my eyes and other people might not…

I like these hooks because they are so comfortable. However, as I read somewhere in another review, not all are true to size. I bought the whole set, sizes C through K. I tested them with my Susan Bates "Knit-Chek" which has holes you can put hooks or needles in to measure. C and D fit true to size, but the letters E through K are all actually one size larger than they are marked, meaning they measure from F through L.
