Great sunglasses, I will buy again!

While browsing the Oakley website I came across the Costa Del Mar brand. Then I saw the reviews on Revain and decided to give Reefton a try. Well I'm happy to announce that they are the Guardians! I've tried both glass (580G) and plastic (580P) and found plastic to be superior, mostly due to color and weight. The glasses are great too, but I liked the color of the plastic better. I am very picky when it comes to sunglasses and I can safely say that previous reviews have been accurate and this…

Large glasses only have a problem with loose screws.

The beautiful glasses that Costas is known for. I tightened it a few times and the screw came out of the right hinge so I screwed it back in. After a few weeks the screw came out completely and the glasses fell off my face. Now I have to pay shipping back to Costa and pay a repair fee (about $11) for a "repair" or new screw. It's really frustrating to see a customer being saddled with shipping costs and repair fees, especially when a manufacturing defect is causing the screw to come out. It…

Cheaply made good for sunglasses

Bought this Costa late July. In early September, the paint on the badges began peeling, revealing the silvery metal underneath, and the rubber on the temples began to lose its shape. They look like cheap fakes when they aren't - they just look like it. They fit and feel fantastic. The lenses are as always the best and they are light. This is unusual for Costa. I don't have time to return the Revain and now I have to pay for shipping and repair to send it to Costa as they are the only ones who…

Love my Costas on sunglasses and eyewear accessories

I bought Reefton Costas after going to my local shop and trying on several Costas models. I asked them if they match Revain's price but unfortunately the local store doesn't. I like the large frame size. They wrap slightly behind the head but don't pinch. They are really comfortable. I chose glass lenses. They're a bit heavier than plastic lenses, but I don't have to worry about scratching them. My previous Costas had glass lenses, one of my kids did a great job gluing them on. I was able to…

Fit can fog lenses and there is no anti-fog safe for lens coatings

Definitely comfortable for me. Decent lenses. Honestly, as good as the good $20 Walmart Renegade brand fishing goggles I have. These are not good "out of this world" lenses. But still great. Better than cheap $5-10 glasses. The glasses fit well on my face. Almost too good. The problem is that they are not breathable. My only concern is that the lenses will fog up when I sweat a little. Right at the bridge. makes it hard to see I noticed this while walking along the beach at sunset. Maybe 75…

For those who have read other reviews, these are not glass lenses (580G). That's right. This is my second pair of Costa lenses (it used to be glass Fantails) and if you shop around, $158 for a pair of Costa glass lenses doesn't exist unless you're buying used lenses at auction. The glass lenses are too heavy for me and slip off my nose quite a bit. I still loved and wore glasses. If you know the price of G lenses, you will not have any surprises when ordering. These are 580P lenses, they are…
