You can use your backup battery to charge your phone, but you need it. 2) No need to buy a dimmer, but you will definitely miss it. It helps you a lot to control your light. Buy it! Don't just buy a flashlight. 2) You need a longer cable between the flashlight and the battery. The crack light cable is too small. So the battery is an obstacle if you want to use the light.
