I bought the MBR1000 to use with a 3G MiFi to provide internet access to multiple devices in rural areas. MiFi can handle some of these things on its own, but it actually lacks Wi-Fi range and features like virtual server settings to support external access to multiple webcams. I've had an LG VL600 Verizon modem for about 8 months. In the beginning there were no modem-capable routers. Cradlepoint then started making compatible routers, but they were quite expensive. So I set my computer to modem sharing, which means it (my laptop) has to stay on as long as internet access is needed :( Eventually I stopped waiting for other companies to release compatible routers and this MBR1000 Bought at a competitive price It worked almost straight out of the box as long as I let it
