So I got this chalk to grade our darts games on our board. Each of the three packages purchased was of poor quality. I have purchased this item before and the chalk was great at the time. This batch appeared to have an almost waxy consistency and would not write on my board. I even used a knife to scrape the top layer off a few sticks, but it seems to go the whole way. Very disappointing. I have a jar with small pieces from the previous batch that I will use next.

Great price! They were bought for my little girl to use with the chalk board that came with another toy. she loves them! do they break Oh well. They are calcareous. A piece of chalk was broken in the box when I first opened it. They're not very high quality, like something a teacher might want to rely on to write on the board all day. But they're perfect for little hands that use chalk for fun. Crayola is a trusted brand that I used as a child and will continue to buy for my child.

I used to use much better colored pencils. It is really relatively low quality and therefore low price. They are dust-free, but these crayons rub off very badly. This is because they are not very dense and are quite light. You have no weight. High-quality crayons need to be a bit heavier, stronger, and denser so they last longer afterwards.
