I ordered this but didn't use it straight away so the return window is closed. Everything was fine the first time, but the wire broke the second time. I was going to use it again tonight and the new cable broke. It's so fragile I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It worked well until the only cable that came with it broke beyond repair. I can't find a replacement anywhere. I would not recommend this product as it does not come with any extra cables. If it were built in such a way that the wires wouldn't break, that would also be an advantage. It's not built very securely. laura

I liked this cutter at first. Easy to use and clean and did a great job slicing white cheddar cheese. But then the original cutting wire broke or snapped from the handle, and while it came with several spare wires, it proved very difficult to replace without bending or stripping those spare wires. After trying unsuccessfully to replace the three extra spare wires, I threw the cutter in the trash. Now I think you need to place the cutter in a vise to securely depress and hold the lever to insert
