This easel appears to be well made and the size is as described. However, I'm not sure if that's really a good thing. You cannot put a book or magazine on it because there is nothing to keep the pages open. You can only raise it 45-50 degrees, so painting with acrylic or oil paints is difficult - you have to stand over it and look down, not in front of it. For drawing or watercoloring, it's probably easier to just hold the paper because of the small size. I'm sure there are good uses for it…

I have an A3 clipboard but I need an adjustable stand to use it. It worked great! The only warning I have is that on my particular stand it appears that one of the screws was inserted at the wrong angle and came out of the wood, but this appears to be an error on my part and not standard production. Problem. I didn't deduct any stars for this as I don't feel my fault reflects the product itself and it's still fully usable - I just need to keep an eye on it so it doesn't split the wood.

Overall this is a great value for a small easel or iPad holder. The only thing holding it back from 5 stars is a small design flaw. The screws that attach the hinges are not flush with the edge. So when you lay out the piece of bamboo that will support the bottom of your canvas, the screw heads on either side of the hinge will touch, and instead of folding straight, it will sit at an angle. A little careful bending and it was solid, but it would be better if the hinges were glued to this part…
