What you want from hand tools

Regret it pretty quickly. The spiral is very loose and the cheeks pop pretty nasty. I recommend looking into salvaging hand tools. Made in Canada, 50 sum mod but will last longer than you. Bring back that Chinese junk while you can.

Pros
  • Laser engraved SAE size standard and metric scale makes identification easy
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything's fine

Better than the old originals

I have several old Crescent wrenches. All good, all in continuous use. This new one is more finished, sharper in detail and softer in action. I like inch and metric engravings on the sides. I was expecting "as good as" vintage. Instead, it just got a little nicer.

Pros
  • Genuine Crescent brand wrench
Cons
  • Some small things

Inexpensive wrench that does its job perfectly!

This was the cheapest wrench I could find on Revain and was delivered next day with Prime. I've never had a wrench so I don't have a lot to compare it to but it feels solid and allows me to change my shower head very easily. If I could turn back time I would buy it again.

Pros
  • Tension spring stabilizes jaw and allows for easy knurling adjustment
Cons
  • Not sure

Now Chinese garbage. Nuts still spinning

Now it's Chinese garbage. Still insane, but nowhere near as good as the tool when it was made in the USA. bruised knuckles a couple of times as the tolerance of the slide blocks is now worse and there is a greater chance of bolt rounding if you don't size it just right, which in practice never happens.

Pros
  • Tools and household goods
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Not the quality I expected from a Crescent. Disappointment

Nothing compares to the crescent moon quality of the past. Looks like a level above some cargo port tools. Not like it used to be. I'd rather buy an old one for 50 euros than have such poor workmanship. Not as good as the old school crescent. I lost my old one and loved it. You have to constantly correct it. It appears to be lower quality metal as it has dents and stains after a few uses. The jaw plays more than I would like. Roller controller leaves a lot to be desired. Not soft. Bad craft.

Pros
  • Power and Hand Tools
Cons
  • Poor Instructions

8 " sickle wrench (adjustable)

I have several crescent shaped wrenches that are over 10 years old and have been perfectly happy with them. All of them are smooth, strong and reliable. When I When I received this new Crescent wrench it was obviously less well made, I read the fine print on the packaging and found that the wrench was made in China. The seller didn't exactly advertise that fact so be careful! The knurled knob is deburred making adjustment difficult and making any minor adjustment less accurate I seriously doubt…

Pros
  • Adjustable wrenches
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
