Description of πŸ”§ Crescent 1/2-Inch Drive 1/2-Inch Female to 3/8-Inch Male Adapter - CDTA3C

Manufactured from chrome alloy steel for better strength and longer tool life. Bright, full polish chrome finish easily wipes clean and resists corrosion. Ball detent for secure socket retention. Meets or exceeds ASME specifications. Reducing adapter instantly turns a 1/2" drive tool to a 3/8" drive tool when added to a 1/2" drive tool square drive tang.

Terrible Adapter Fails to Impress

As a result of my tests, I determined that this hand tool is utterly useless in the automotive world. While it may be cheap, it just can't stand up to regular use - my first attempt at using it ended in the adapter breaking apart. The only positive aspect of this tool is its low price. However, even that doesn't justify its lack of durability.

Pros
  • Low price
Cons
  • Not durable enough for use in the automotive industry

Broke on the first day

I was tightening the lug nuts on my truck and this broke after the 4th lug nut on the first day I opened the product. I wouldn't waste your money and time on this. Spend your money and buy a quality one.

Pros
  • Ball holder for secure shaft fixation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
