Perfect for powering AIOs and fans with Kraken G12

plugs into the GPU fan header and works great. Good build quality and a solid black color mean it doesn't stand out in any way. Two connectors meant I could power the pump and the PWM fan, allowing me to use the fan profile control to determine fan speed based on GPU temperature.

No problem, good for the internals

When my Zotac 1080mini's fan started making noise, I realized I wasn't alone. My thoughts were to add it to my water circuit and be done with that, but buying two 92mm fans and a small zip tie franchise just wasn't worth the expense. I'm very pleased that such a cable already exists, which appeals to the populace who repair their own VGA cards. It's very cheap (around $30) to effectively make your card quieter and cooler, which can have a positive impact on performance. fabulous for all three.

  • Brilliantly done

Works well and all existing fan control functions also work

Works as described. I'm using this to replace my noisy OEM GPU fan and am using the GPU to drive case fans that blow directly onto the heatsink. My original GPU only came with one fan, but with this splitter cable, it can drive both new large fans. All fan functions that come with the GPU driver/software work; PWM, speed monitoring, everything works. I just wish they had an L-shaped connector on the GPU side. Routing the cable was a bit fiddly when the connector is directly behind the heatsink.

Pros
  • Wide Range
Cons
  • Zero

Didn't work with my graphics card and fans (ymmv)

Tried 2x 92mm Be Quiet! Fans of Pure Wings 2 from my GPU hat. (Gigabyte GTX 1660 Ti) This adapter doesn't work for me - the fans spin uncontrollably at 110% RPM. (I think the PWM signal is different than what regular motherboard fans would expect.) So. It's worth a try, but don't get your hopes up.

Pros
  • Waiting
Cons
  • Cable shorter than others

Great for cooling client GPU

I used this fan adapter on my MSI RX580. Along with a pair of 120mm Sycthe fans and a PCI fan bracket, I was able to quietly cool the GPU with better results than the stock cooler. The PWM headers work with the GPU fan control, however this setting does not prevent the Scythe fans from stopping like the original GPU cooler. But at this speed, the fans are not audible. I like the quality of the braided cable and the all black design. RPMs work too.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Had the trick for my Sapphire Radeon RX 580 (Upate RX5700XT)

Replaced the stock fairing with two low profile Noctua NF-A9x14's. I'm currently zipping while making a custom case. With an adjustable fan curve, the card is virtually silent until it hits the highest gaming loads. From jet-powered to barely audible to intensive test loads with two Noctua NF-P12. Temperatures at the junction ranged from 105-108 to 98-102 depending on the ambient temperature.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Remove the cover from the GPU or the Kraken G12 etc

I would say it is necessary when removing the cover from the GPU to remove the stock fans and get better fans with this one to use splitters. Also, to water-cool your GPU with AIO, use a mounting bracket like G12. Your GPU will have one or two fan headers just like your motherboard, but smaller. You need this to convert to normal size. One thing I would change is that if they could do it with a right angle connection to the GPU it would be perfect. I broke some plastic on one of the GPU fan…

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • It's ok

Short Answer Best in Computers & Accessories

It does what you need and expect from it. Nothing more to say. If you're looking for one of these, try modifying your GPU for efficient cooling with an enclosure or a dedicated AIO fan. Don't worry, as long as your graphics card uses this connector, it will work just fine. Used this on Nvidia RTX 2080 Super (MSI Ventus OC) and everything works great.
