Bad handling. suitable for temperature probes and sensors

Because they machined the threads too much, it comes through before you tighten it. Do not use a leaking sensor. They also wired the harness for a 2-wire configuration, so that's also a loss of accuracy unless you're willing to drain and redo it. look elsewhere

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Non 1/2 " NPT is best for testing, measuring and checking

This is not a 1/2" NPT thread, could be BSP as the thread is rounded and the taper is not as wide looks. The probe is hand screwed 1/2 inch all the way into the fitting when after a few turns it should begin to tighten. I don't see how it could seal without a ton of t-tape or sealant.

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Cut the wires in the connector

I ordered seven of this item, all connectors have cut wires sticking out of them (see photo). I haven't connected them to the temperature controller yet, but I'm very shy about those open ended wires. The electrical connector adheres to the sensor with friction, there is no thread or bayonet to hold it. I'm worried about how well it will stay connected. I will write more when the build is complete.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Pretty tedious to test, measure and verify

I was really surprised how many things can go wrong with a simple temperature sensor. The temperature readings are definitely not calibrated to pt100 tolerance and are obviously randomly collected resulting in a very inconsistent signal. I literally had to take it apart and rewire the connections to make it work. In case you're curious, this isn't an M12 connector either, although it looks similar.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Some flaws

Great if it works

As many have mentioned the quality is pretty terrible. When it works it's great and as accurate as you would expect from an RTD. The connector to the cable consists of 3 very, very thin wires. The cable itself also seems to have some flaws. I have a broken wire somewhere. By moving the cable (while the paddles and connector at the end of the sensor are perfectly still), I randomly get high temperature readings or none at all. Finally, the thread is not NPT. They are G1/4 like most imported…

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Expensive

Really bad quality control here

Bought two of these. Both failed very quickly due to a mysterious connection. There is really poor quality control here. Edit: The original review is one star. Temporarily raised 2 stars as seller sent 2 more. If they last a reasonable time and don't fail I will upgrade them to 3 stars for good service. Update: I've now broken 3/4 of these in normal use. The plug is really very fragile. I don't recommend at all.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Stops working after a few uses

I've only used the product a few times and it doesn't show an accurate temperature. It only reads negative temperatures and when you touch the wire at the base of the connector it flickers in between. Conveniently, the returns window only closed about a month ago. Unsatisfied. UPDATE: The company got back to me about this immediately, offering to send a replacement without hesitation. Although the first one had problems, the seller did everything right, it was really great. I would recommend…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

Great when it works

As many have pointed out, the quality of these devices is pretty terrible. There is no static relief, meaning the only thing holding the connector to the cable are 3 very, very thin wires. That being said, the cable itself seems to have some flaws. I have a broken wire somewhere. By moving the cable (while the paddles and connector at the end of the probe are perfectly still), I randomly get high temperature readings or none at all. Finally, the thread is not NPT. They are G1/4 like most…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubt
