Noticeable boost in performance

Immediate difference in performance. Nothing critical, but memory usage on my laptop has dropped from 75% to 25-30%. I have an old Asus X550CA laptop with 4GB RAM and max 8GB. It was great when it first came out with Windows 8, but after upgrading to Windows 10 it got pretty clunky. It's sad that my laptop can only hold up to 8GB, but I can't afford a new one and it has helped speed it up to at least a manageable state. I mainly use the laptop for web browsing and video editing, both of which…

Crucial always delivers

I've always been a big fan of Critical Memory. It is extremely important that I turn to the company when I need to guarantee the durability of my customers' computers. The memory was delivered exactly as promised and on time. Upon receipt, the memory has been tested with Ramcheck Lx to ensure all speeds and stats are correct, and Crucial supplies it as always. Before ordering memory for personal use, make sure you are ordering the correct type of memory for your device. Make sure you open your…

No-Frills Inexpensive Memory Upgrade

Used to fill the second memory slot and double the available memory in the HP Pavilion 17-e019dx Notebook PC. Significantly improved performance for large Access databases, movie editing, and GIS software. If you're running memory-intensive tasks, 8GB helps a lot. Not an exact replacement recommended by HP (691740) or various memory "configurators". However, if the specs match, the memory should work. The laptop recognized the memory but reports the brand as "unknown" (it reports Kingston). As…

Compatible and not so compatible

I bought 2 of these 4GB memory sticks. These were the recommended flash drives for my laptop, taken from the Crucial website. I installed them and they don't work on my old Dell laptop because it won't boot. I'm not sure if they are buggy or not, I wanted to fix this issue. I pulled some memory from a newer laptop and replaced it. Crucial memory worked well in the newer laptop, but not in the other. So I would exercise caution when buying. If you have a non-working joystick, this could be a…

I love critical memory and to be honest this particular chip is probably good. I just bought a Qotom Q190G4 Intel Celeron Processor 3215U Mini PC with a dual core barebones processor and Revain has listed this chip as an add-on. So I bought. Unfortunately, the manufacturer Qotom included an insert with the device that said DO NOT USE CRUCIAL MEMORY. It has something to do with interrupt request and delivery conflicts on the system side. So I had to send it back and pay for it. So I'm only…

Ram great for internals

so far so good. My Toshiba only had 2GB in 1 slot. I just doubled it to 4 to protect my laptop in the future. Plus OCZ ARC 100. Now I have Ultrabook speed. To update. 36% RAM usage with Google Chrome open. Instead of 72% with 2GB. Do that. My update from 08/28/15. I had 1 tab open on Google [Amazon] and checked the task manager for RAM usage. 1 left 1.7 GB and no SSD was used. You might think it's a waste. nope work in memory. if I had more TABS open [youtube, facebook] and no extra RAM. The…

Low-density DDR3 from the USA or high-density DDR3L from China?

When I ordered 2 packs of this memory (two separate orders of 2 flash packs combined) I received 4GB of low density DDR3 made in America that worked on a PC. more flash drive, I ordered a pack and received a China made 4GB high density DDR3L stick that didn't work on the computer I intended it for. It worked fine on another PC, so I kept it. A PC that could use an HD DDR3L stick will actually run better on it than one of the LD DDR3 Made in USA sticks (from two packs) so it's a happy ending…

Excellent memory compatible with Intel NUC

I bought 14 of these RAM sticks for my Intel i5 and i3 NUC computers and they work perfectly. I previously bought some Corsair Vengeance memory and it worked great in one of my i5 NUCs but not on i3 systems. Then I switched to this memory and it gave me no problems. I've been using it with the BIOS they shipped with for the past few months and I've just updated four NUCs to the latest BIOS and they're still working fine, I haven't adjusted the timings or anything, it's just one Plug and play…
