I have installed this equipment on several coffee grinders that I have flipped and they seem to be doing their job very well. You need a few Forstner tips, but I still had most of them.

This is an excellent mechanism for making a pepper mill. The design possibilities are expanded because there is no "bundle" as with a traditional movement. Since it is ceramic, it can also be used as a salt mill.

Please be careful when purchasing this item. waves are short. If you make a lot of grinders like I do, it's good to have a shaft long enough to trim. The problem I've found is that companies are overpriced for standard 10" shaft blocks so I decided to check them out.

I really don't understand people who write reviews on this product and complain about the lack of instructions. Yes, I agree the instructions make it a little easier, but it's a meat grinder. The mechanism is basically the same. If you complain about measurements, then you have no one to blame but yourself. I'm a novice woodworker and this wasn't difficult. This kit is great. This is the best quality. There are complaints about the bit size, but there are several ways to build it. I use standard sized bits and a special tool from Sorby to make a groove - no glue. I've never had a problem with this set, although I've had problems with others.
