Absolutely terrible. Avoid at all costs!

Cannot get even or no pressure on the cylinder. No matter what the tension was set to, the honing head would not open itself and spring against the cylinder as it should. The cylinder was GOOD within the stated specs but it wouldn't matter much as it wouldn't work properly on any size. Also the stones were not aligned; Therefore, one could be on the surface of the cylinder and the other stone (2 in total) was on the side with its attachment to the cylinder. Worst instrument purchase I've ever made.

I have sharpened many cylinders in my life but this is the first time the tool has failed within minutes of use. into the drill, also ends with a dark material at the other end. I assumed tool steel, I was wrong - it's PLASTIC!. that the element holding the sharpening arms is subjected to the pressure of the tension spring and subjected to a rotational force (torque) has no chance of success. Can be used for other purposes

I used this on a project which I'm sure the engineers didn't have in mind when developing this tool. Bought because I bought an AR-15 rifle barrel that was milled to .750 in the gas port and a low profile gas block that happened to have a .749 bore due to parking. It is necessary to remove about 0.0015 from inside the gas block. The stone "wings" are adjustable, but they seem to put more pressure on the base than evenly along the length.
