It's worth it. in oxygen

I rounded off the dots on the remote oxygen sensor despite repeated soaking in penetrating oil. My old socket splayed and slipped. This started with minimal effort. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • thin

Worth every penny! - Oxygen

This is an amazing nest. I had a very stubborn 02 sensor that was stripped around the screw. I've tried 2 other types of 02 sockets with no success, after reading the reviews I thought I'd give this one a try. This socket fits directly onto the 02 sensor with no play and easily detaches the sensor. This is a necessary thing. I love it.👍🏾

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Clarity

Works perfectly! Difficult conditions!

This O2 connector is built to withstand heavy use and will not bend like cheaper O2 connectors. It costs extra money. Don't waste your time with cheaper connectors because if you apply some torque to remove the O2 sensor, the connector will bend and round the nut on the O2 sensor. Also, buy a Lisle 12230 O2 tap to clean the threads so the new sensor screws in easily.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Crumpled

This thing is RELIABLE

I had room for it on the bottom sensor of the car I'm working on but not the top. It won't work for every application due to its sheer size, but I can't imagine the tool itself opening and stripping sensors like other thin wall O2 jacks or wrenches. In the end, it's nice to have in your toolbox, but it doesn't work on every sensor in every car.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Protection

Good tool, heavy, very thick. would not slip.

Strongly built, long enough to remove the O2 sensor with the wiring harness on the left. It is reinforced in the middle with an extra strip of steel that prevents it from stretching and slipping off the sensor when released. However, it may be too thick when you use it in some narrow spaces of compact and small cars. I had to send it back and use an extended 7/8 socket drive.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Almost never happens

Heavy duty for sensors

A narrower groove provides more contact. The extra ring around the center eliminates the flex found on cheaper tools. Like other reviewers, we struggled using a locally purchased tool to just round the corners of the sensor's hexagon. The CTA tool immediately caught and bit. The O2 sensor unscrews in seconds without slipping. Have used (and broken) several sensor connectors over the years and this has had none of these issues. I doubt I'll ever have trouble with an O2 sensor again. Worth every…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some bugs

Cummins ISX NOx Sensor Head

I have been using this head for over three years to replace NOx sensors on Cummins ISX engines. Everyone in the garage I work in uses it too. Very high quality, there is a thick band around the center of the bushing that prevents it from expanding like other sensor bushings do when torque is applied. You can use a 1/2 inch ratchet or 1 inch wrench which is a good option. I did not find the sensor too tight or corroded for this instrument. Warranty work requires NOx sensors, which cost about…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Weight

Best available, best in spares

In all my years of screw turning I have never used an O2 sensor socket so superior. I agree with the comments of others regarding this tool's ability to remove transducers that have already been rounded off by a bottom tool. I replaced the sensors on my Ford E350. The upper sensor on the passenger side did not want to come loose despite the applied heat and several hours of exposure to the PB blaster. released in 5 seconds. This jack does not bend at all. That extra metal ridge around the…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other alternatives

Wow, this outlet is amazing!

This CTA Tools 1/2 2066 Heavy Duty Oxygen Sensor Socket could remove an O2 sensor that was not compatible with either a TEKTON 4929 3/8" drive on 7/8" or a TEKTON 47749 3/8" Offset Oxygen Sensor Bushing. Using the 47749 offset, it was easy to reinstall the new O2 sensor, but upon removing the old sensor, the bushing began to strip the O2 hex nut, so I replaced it Another Tekton 4929 socket (very similar in shape to this one) was able to remove the easier access to the O2 sensor where I had…
