Rescue for hard-to-reach oil filters!

Ideal for oil filters that are in difficult places. It worked, but my only caveat is that if you use it constantly on heavily stuck filters, I've worried about its longevity for years. The place where the key sits is not very thick and can bend with constant use. You might want to get a wrench with an extended neck that fits like a socket. If you use it for occasional oil changes it should work just fine. I would buy again if needed.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can be retrofitted

Will not fit 74mm filters

This tool has a stepped design to fit two different filter sizes, 76mm and 74mm, but will not fit the smaller 74mm at all Filter. It feels like it's engaging the grooves on the filter, but when you twist to loosen the filter it moves away from the filter instead of pushing and twisting. It probably works well with larger 76mm filters, but not at all with 74mm filters. It's a real shame, I have other sizes of CTA keys that are made to a specific size (instead of increments) and they work great.

Pros
  • High test scores for support and durability
Cons
  • Medium

Broken on first use

Key broken off on first use, the part where it attaches to the key is welded and broke off when I unscrewed the cap, it didn't even fully fit the cap , it broke. Worst of all the key was stuck in the cap and while I was removing it the middle part in the engine bay was clogged and I couldn't find it. didn't work it got worse now i have to remove all the plastic cover to find this piece. Stay away from this article. Luckily, Revain support returned the money.

It seems to fit my 2006 Hyundai Oil Filter (P/N 26300-35503) perfectly.

Haven't used this wrench yet but it seems to fit my 2006 Hyundai Oil Filter (P/N 26300-35503) perfectly and is well made. I'll try to remember to update this review after my next oil change. UPDATE 4/22/2016: I've used this box wrench on 4 oil changes now (twice on my 2006 Hyundai Elantra GLS hatchback and twice on my wife's 2014 car). Elantra GT hatchback). It works great, fits well and snugly and was extra comfortable to use due to the recessed placement of the filter on the 2014 model.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Exchange available

Made in China. suitable for oil system tools

Made in China. Other product descriptions elsewhere on the internet have led me to believe this filter key is made in the USA. The product looks ok. I put a Purolator PBL12222 in it and it has some slop in it. This factor should not be a problem for such a low torque application. This can help accommodate a larger selection of filters. There were some tabs in the 3/8" socket that had to be pushed out when the socket was first installed. I see no reason why this wrench wouldn't last a lifetime…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Hard to tell
