CTA Tools A270 Cap Type Filter Review

I have a new 2022 Subaru Forester and the factory installed oil filter is a slightly larger diameter, different part number and is painted black. than the blue OEM PN 15208AA15A that the dealer will sell you over the parts counter. Well, the CTA Tools A270 Capped Oil Filter Head comes in blue instead of black. That makes it a winner in my book as I will never look black again after my first oil change.

Ideal for oil filters located in awkward places. It worked, but my only caveat is that if you use it constantly on heavily stuck filters, I've worried about its longevity for years. The place where the key sits is not very thick and can bend with constant use. You might want to get a wrench with an extended neck that fits like a socket. If you use it for occasional oil changes it should work just fine. I would buy again if needed.

The key broke off on first use, the part where it attaches to the key was welded and broke off while I was unscrewing the cap, it couldn't even fit the cap full and it broke, worst of all the wrench got stuck in the cap and while I was taking it off, the middle part spilled into the engine compartment and I couldn't find it. only it didn't help it only got worse now I have to remove the whole plastic screen to find this piece.
