🔌 Cuisinart CCO-50BKN Deluxe Electric Can Opener, Black: Effortlessly Open Cans with Style Review

I'm usually a fan of Cuisinart products. (I have a Cuisinart blender, toaster, skillet, food processor, etc.) So giving this product a bad review frustrates me. The plastic lever broke the first time I used the can opener. I hope Cuisinart will reconsider using plastic for this very important part of the can opener.

I like this can opener! I have terrible arthritis and have tried many other openers. This one is surprisingly easy to use. Once you place the can, simply lower the lever and the can will open by itself. The price is very reasonable. I would suggest a company to promote people with arthritis because it sure makes my life so much easier! Light weight and also easy to clean.

I bought this because of the Cuisinart name. Mistake. The first jar I tried to open just stood there and peeled off the label. I had to twist the can vigorously and metal shavings were left at the bottom of the opener. The second can, the same breakdown, metal filings. The third glass worked perfectly. UPDATE: I changed my rating from 3 stars to 1 after the can opener stopped working today - even two months after I bought it. The motor still runs and the gears turn the jar, but the blade refuses to pierce the lid. It seems to have somehow wedged itself in the cutterbar until it can no longer do what it was designed to do: open cans.
