I don't actually use this salad bowl for salad. I saw a Facebook hack about using salad bowls to wash bras. After years of hand washing my bras (my washing machine bent the underwires) this is a life saver! The top closes with a simple click. And it has a water fill/empty hole to make cleaning easier! The top doesn't fall off - bonus! I can drain the water without removing the lid - bonus! I can fill it with water WHILE I'm spinning - bonus!

I am 28 years old and have never used a salad bowl. I work on a farm now and have access to a lot of lettuce so I decided to invest in one. (Aka, asked my sister to buy me one since I'm broke.) Well for the price you can't expect everything but it looks very cheap. The bowl itself, the hinges feel very easy to break. I bent mine and unfortunately it always comes back to that shape, so I don't know if that's why it's so noisy in use. I would still give them 1 star if they weren't easily damaged, hence the reason for the durability rating. I would have liked it better if the bowl was glass or just thicker.
