I don't actually use this salad bowl for salad. I saw a Facebook hack about using salad bowls to wash bras. After years of hand washing my bras (my washing machine bent the underwires) this is a life saver! The top closes with a simple click. And it has a water fill/empty hole to make cleaning easier! The top doesn't fall off - bonus! I can drain the water without removing the lid - bonus! I can fill it with water WHILE I'm spinning - bonus!

Pros
  • Fits a lot of people
Cons
  • Poor instructions

The first owner of a salad bowl - she changed the rules of the game

I am 28 years old and have never used a salad bowl. I work on a farm now and have access to a lot of lettuce so I decided to invest in one. (Aka, asked my sister to buy me one since I'm broke.) It's an amazing thing, and now I wonder how different my 28-year salad experience would have been if I'd had it from the start. The bait is very efficient in the short time it takes to wring out the water and is easy to pour out. It's pretty cute and I highly recommend it. It is well made and appears to…

Get a strainer for the boiler

Well for the price you can't expect everything but it looks very cheap. The bowl itself, the hinges feel very easy to break. I bent mine and unfortunately it always comes back to that shape, so I don't know if that's why it's so noisy in use. I would still give them 1 star if they weren't easily damaged, hence the reason for the durability rating. I would have liked it better if the bowl was glass or just thicker. It just seems incredibly cheap, so it's not something you'd flaunt in the…

Not suitable for washing in the dishwasher! Don't buy this cheap junk.

I've bought a lot of cooking appliances marked "Cuisinart". Some of them were good like a blender, a coffee maker, a few food processors and a few others. Most of them were decent commodities, fit for purpose, but sometimes quite expensive. This spinner was different, it was cheap. If you buy cheap, you buy twice. Anyone who, like me, cooks a little or a lot tries to save steps. A dishwasher is such a savings step. A run through the dishwasher and the bowl warped. End. I tried to save him…

Excellent lure, much better than my previous one

I was making several dozen advanced salats when the line from my last lure broke. Lettuce was flying all over the place and curses were flying from me. The pull was like starting a lawnmower or a chainsaw. My wife didn't want that at all. Is it any wonder then that after a year of operation the cord that rotates the basket fell apart? Enter my new spinner Cuisinart. It is much easier to turn with the handle and very little effort is required to accelerate the basket to the desired speed. I like
