🍽️ Cuisinart DFP-14BSKY Custom 14 Cup Food Processor, Sleek Black Finish Review

I did a lot of research before I decided on this food processor. I have had this processor for a few months now and am completely satisfied with this processor. Very easy to clean, incredibly sharp blades and the power of this little one! We use our Cuisinart processor several times a week. 100% would buy again!

Heavy, powerful and incredibly quiet machine! I've read about people with broken driveshafts. It's plastic, so I probably won't be using this machine for things like making dough. A bread maker is best. But for slicing, grating, chopping, and blending most ingredients, I find it perfect. Also, the black stainless steel finish looks very nice.

I've had this processor for a year now and have only used it twice. It is difficult to align all the pieces in the right order. I was thinking of spraying diapers on it but that might damage the PLASTIC. Cheap plastic parts break easily. I can cut and slice faster than I can with this cumbersome processor. One handle at the back, one at the front! It couldn't be more uncomfortable. I don't know if having the handles opposite is a safety measure or if it's done to incite anger. One star per cup…

Well Cuisinart have definitely made the work bowl, lid and other plastics a little thinner/lighter. I also note that there is a white "mechanism" with a lock that turns when you slide the top of the lid onto the bowl and lock it. The spike that "activates" the lock is a bit difficult to insert and I'm concerned it will be the first to break along the way, but I'm just guessing. So far everything is fine after 15 uses. Update: I've lowered my rating to 4 stars due to the recent ham blade detaching from the shaft during use. It seems to happen mostly when I hit the shutdown button. This happens about every other time and I can't find the reason for it. It still cuts and shreds well so I only deducted one star but the issue is annoying. I spent about 6 hours looking for a good processor. This is my first and I never thought I would need one. I've used it about every other day for the last two weeks that I've had it. Next to my coffee machine, this is the only device that is on my valuable kitchen table!
