Robust, handy

My husband and I love this pan. He replaced the 2.5-liter. a pot that has finally fallen apart after 30 years of daily use. Handles make it easy to lift and pour; It's the perfect size for sauces, roasts, etc. We've been using it regularly for 3 months and the metal is holding up well. It's a good durable metal and we're very happy with the pan.

Perfect 4 2 on Kitchen & Dining

This pan is perfect for both of us, empty nesters. I use it as a grill, skillet and quick grill. I use recipes for 4 and cut them in half and that fits the bill. High quality stainless steel, looks sexy and easy to clean. I like the small handles instead of the long pan handle as it matches the toaster! perfect for 2 chicken pieces, a pound of ground beef or pork, 4 short ribs, 2 pork chops, etc. etc. Love it!

EDITED: Upgraded to 4 stars

Original review: Just got MultiClad Pro 3 Qt Casserole and am disappointed. Not flat. It spins like a top, rocks and rolls on our ceramic hob. We already have several other multiclads including a 5 liter pot and they are all perfectly flat and work great. This pan must be a second one or defective as I can't imagine this being acceptable and quality control passing. Looks nice, but we cook ourselves! EDIT: The bad casserole was quickly replaced by the seller and the replacement was perfect! We…

I love this casserole!

I use these batches to start cooking on the stovetop and finish cooking in the oven. It's heavy and well made, but scratches easily. I really shouldn't have used my stainless spoon to scoop food out of it. I ended up with a few light scratches so I've since switched to silicone coated stainless steel cookware with great results. I love how this pan cooks! I find I'm just not used to stainless steel being scratched. I'm not sure why this is happening with 18/10 stainless steel. Even my older…

  • Some issues

Update: I've had it for 18 months now. It still looks new. I wash it in the dishwasher sometimes, but I usually hand wash it. When used correctly, it hardly sticks. Heat until empty, then add the oil and wait for the oil to heat up. That is the difference. The sides are tall enough to stew in but short enough to use as a frying pan. It can use metal utensils. The lid handle stays cool enough. The lid is very dense, thick at the bottom and up on the sides. Bought for an induction burner. My…

2 of these pans arrived warped

I have just used my 3 liter casserole dish for the second time. The first time mainly in the oven, the second time on the induction hob. It's deformed, there's a puddle of oil on one side, it twists and wobbles. Deformed. Exchange with Revane. I hope the next one will be better. Update: I got a second pan from Amazon and it also warped right out of the box. Watch the attached video. It was filmed cold. The rotation is even more pronounced when the pan is hot. I suspect it has nothing to do with

Cuisnart vs. Mauviel

Ordered this and the Rondo from Mauviel M'Cook (both in stainless steel, same shape). He examined them both carefully. This Cuisnart is three ply, Mauviel is five ply, but the edges where you can see the plies are the same size. The Mauviel is stunningly beautiful and feels heavier, but I think that's just because there's so much stainless steel on the handles and it's a bit larger. After all, I've cooked on Cuisinart and for $50 I'm very happy with it. The Mauviel was $225 and I sent it back…

Fantastic pan - great for induction cooking

I bought this pan to add to my kitchen utensils on the go when I got a 1800w DUXTOP portable burner for my 9100MC induction hob. A similar frying pan from All Clad is a workhorse in my home kitchen but will not work with an induction unit. I cook a lot in one pot on each of these pans and prefer this All Clad pan. This Cuisinart pan has taller sides so less food pops out when frying or sautéing foods like chopped onions. The higher sides also allow me to prepare 2-3 portions of stew or even…

Very good pans, great price.

I have been using AllClad pots and pans for over 10 years and I am very satisfied. They are family and get the job done night after night with no problems. For those of you who don't know, Cuisenart MCP is Cuisenart's attempt to reproduce the superior cooking characteristics of AllClad pans at a fraction of the price. The bottom line is that they succeeded and even improved on AllClad's already excellent design. I bought this particular pan to replace the tagine my daughter now has at home…
