Excellent quality, very well made pot and pan set but disappointingly small. This is a good starter kit for the budding home cook. If you frequently cook for more than one or two people, this set may not be the best choice. I have other Cuisinox items that I bought separately that are irreplaceable.

Bought this set 7 years ago. All pots and pans have had their rims worn down in the last year, probably in the dishwasher. The interior of the three-layer shell was exposed, and the steel edges became so sharp that my wife and I often cut our hands on them. Not sure if there is a guarantee but they have become too dangerous and need to be replaced. For the price I expected them to last a lot longer. This is a fantastic heavy duty durable cookware often compared to All Clad in quality but at a much better price. I've never used All-Clad, but I like Cuisinox Super Elite. This newer version of the Super Elite addresses a major complaint about the older Cuisinox (non-Super) Elite, which was the grips. In fact, the grips seem to be the only change. The Super Elite handles are MUCH more comfortable than the standard Elite version, offer a very good grip and never twist in your hand when pouring.

Wow these pans are AMAZING!. And a great buy for the price. I bought these to replace a similar quality stainless steel cookware set I bought in 1980. These new pots and pans are heavy, well balanced, heat up quickly and evenly, and are a dream to clean. The surfaces don't really stick: they have a treated inner surface that's smooth and releases food easily, the pans don't retain taste or smell. I have a Cuisinox Dutch Oven that I bought 7 years ago. In general it holds up well so I bought a full set. I have a Dutch Elite oven and the new set is Super Elite. Product quality seems to have gone downhill since I bought my original Dutch Oven. Stainless steel machining is much rougher on the underside of lids, along the edge of the lid, and on the inside curves of the bottom of many pots.
