I love this pepper mill. The degree of grinding can be adjusted from fine to coarse as indicated. It can hold about 1 cup of peppercorns. I needed white pepper and salt mills so I bought two of these. I saw ridiculous prices for coffee grinders and didn't want to pay that much money for something I would use sparingly. I just wanted something that would do a decent job. It does. I put white peppercorns in one and coarse salt in the other. (A lot of sea salts are wet.
