Easy Peazy for kitchen and bathroom plumbing

I moved into an apartment that already had a filter on the kitchen sink. The water came out normally so I used it for another 4 months. It probably didn't filter well. The case had been cleaned with some sort of abrasive so it didn't look good anymore, but I didn't want to spend more money than I did. The cartridge could not be found in any store, so I ordered it here. It came quickly. I had a hard time removing the old cartridge; I had to use the tool. Once it came out, the new easily entered.

Pros
  • quick change
Cons
  • ratio set

REALLY? This time I'll take something out of the box and actually read the instructions. It means twisting the existing filter counterclockwise to remove it. After trying for 30 minutes and it barely moves, I go back and watch the installation video. Turn VERY CLOCKWISE, not COUNTERCLOCKWISE, to remove. At the moment the old filter is so tight that it won't come out as I tightened it for half an hour. unit destroyed. Wow. Now I have to buy another block! You'd think someone in the company would

Pros
  • Brilliantly done

Great tech, terrible filter cartridges

I like how easy the unit is to install. Fits directly onto earlier filter adapters, will not run or drip. Best of all, the filter turns off automatically when you turn off the tap. The bad news is the cartridges should last for 200 gallons, or let's say two months with typical home use. But now I'm on a second cartridge, ordered separately, and they only last three weeks before the flow drops to a slow trickle. I doubt I even had 50 gallons. from these cartridges. They either need to revise…

Filters need to be changed every month

These filters really annoy me. It's been less than a month and I need to order another replacement. I have had to buy at least 6 filters in the last 8 months which is not as advertised. I barely do more than 30 gallons per filter until the pressure drops to 1 drop per second. not as advertised. I spoke to Culligan customer service and of course they blamed the poor water quality (what else could they say), but I live in Westchester, NY which is known for its super clean water. I also did a…

Portable spring water generator!

Why spend tens of thousands of dollars on spring water when you can save just as much money by purchasing a water filter! Especially this water filter that filters out so much bad water for a reasonable price! That's what I've done to this day and I will continue to do so! Highly recommended for those who have never tried this product to try it for the first time! And then find out for yourself how much money you've saved over the last few months and maybe even years to come! Because I myself…

Pros
  • CERTIFIED: IAPMO tested and certified to ANSI 42 & 53
Cons
  • Available in black only

I bought it in August and I've loved it ever since. Love how it matches my chrome faucet perfectly, not unsightly at all. Even though it's been 6 months now I'm still very pleased with how much easier and better it is to use than the filter jug I've used for all these years. I love that I can just fill a pot with boiling water to cook, straight from the tap where it used to be difficult to plan ahead until the jug is filtered enough, or just use plain tap water. I confess I haven't changed the…

Pros
  • PROPERTIES: Reduces atrazine, chlorine, lindane, lead, Class I particulate matter, turbidity and off-taste/odor; Easy installation without tools
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank

This filter allows us to use the sink in the kitchen and bathroom.

I live in an apartment in Southern California. The water here is disgusting, to say the least. They fill it with so much junk that they want water like chlorine and fluoride to be an odd brownish color when it comes out of the tap. Needless to say we don't drink water. Although we can't drink the water that comes out of the kitchen and bathroom faucets, we were looking for a way to wash our hands and clean the crisp pan in the microwave without constantly using bottled water. We've tried Brita…

  • FILTER LIFE: Up to 2 months or 200 gallons depending on usage and water conditions.
Cons
  • A few little things.
