I got this for my mother-in-law for her birthday because she wanted a new thin curling iron. She has very thick and straight hair. The curling iron usually worked well when heated, but I found it took longer to heat up than other curling irons. However, her locks stayed taut and looked frizzy the next day. Overall, the curling iron is above average.

My mother has such straight hair and she wanted really tight curls, she loves this iron. She says it's very easy to use and the curls stay put. The curls are VERY tight so if you're looking for waves or loose curls this iron isn't for you! They don't seem to relax much either.

I like the hardware and it works well but there were NO INSTRUCTIONS in the box explaining how to use it. It has a Celsius thermometer that few people in the US can easily decipher. How long do you keep it to use? There is no information at all. NOT NORMAL.
